With anticipation building for the summer of football ahead, we are showing our support for the England team in true Hayward’s style. Ahead of the tournament which kicks off in Munich on Friday 14th June, we have created a rolling tribute to Gareth Southgate and his team. 

As excitement grew for the championship football this summer, we knew we wanted to do something special to highlight the occasion and came up with the idea to introduce a commemorative truck to our haulage fleet. Working with our creative design partner Bluechilli, we created a design concept that would honour the 24 teams that qualified for this year’s tournament whilst also paying tribute to England’s footballing heroes of years past. 

As proud supporters of the England team, the side panel of our truck features a prominent England flag beneath the Hayward’s logo. Winding its way from the rear of the truck to the front grille is a cascading banner featuring the flags of every nation taking part in the 2024 tournament. 

To honour the proud history of England football, we felt it important to remember those legendary players who have since passed away. To do so, we have included their names above this year’s qualifier’s flags.

With England taking on Serbia on Sunday 16th June for their opening match, we can’t wait to start the celebrations early by unveiling our #HaywardsEnglandTribute. On the 24th May, we will be parked up at Everton’s Goodison Park for the Hayward’s Transport Trophy match between Everton and Liverpool.

Our relationship with Everton FC goes back many years, with our Managing Director Sean Hayward being a lifelong supporter. Over recent months we have been pleased to contribute to the construction of the brand new Everton Stadium, which will be the Toffees’ home from August 2025, so we could think of no better place to show our commemorative truck for the first time than Everton FC’s current home at Goodison Park.

Hayward’s Managing Director Sean Hayward said: “Having supported Everton all my life and having established a great relationship between Hayward’s, ‘The People’s Haulier’, and Everton, ‘The People’s Club’, it was a no-brainer to introduce our commemorative England tribute truck at Goodison Park. 

“In recent months we have provided transportation for Everton to assist with the construction of their new stadium, and we are very excited to sponsor the Hayward’s Transport Trophy match this Friday and unveil our unique England supporters truck to our guests.”

Following the unveiling of our truck at Everton, the good news for all truck enthusiasts and spotters is that there will be plenty of chances to see it in all its glory and take your picture as we travel around England and to Germany during the tournament.
