Set on 4 acres of reinforced concrete yard, the Hayward Transport North West Transport and Container Base Depot is capable of holding over 600 TEU containers. Located at Knowsley Industrial Estate, our site is just a few miles away from the Royal Seaforth Container Terminal, one of the world’s leading shipping ports, and the North West Lift-on/Lift-off cargo ships. Our base offers secure and convenient container storage, whilst our fleet of vehicles benefit from an efficient route to many of the world’s major shipping routes and markets.

When it comes to shipping containers, it can be stressful planning for bad weather at the docks. If you are looking for convenient container storage solutions close to Seaforth docks, but are worried about weather constraints that can lead to shipping delays and increased costs, our NW container base provides an off dock solution. Away from the weather conditions of the sea, we can provide short and long term container storage services. 

In order to store your containers as efficiently as possible, our depot makes use of bespoke solutions for light and laden lifting. Our team is highly trained and experienced in safely lifting and securing containers of all sizes, so you can be assured that your cargo is safe with us.

Our depot is managed exclusively by the Hayward Transport management team. For your peace of mind when using our storage facilities, our site features gated operations, in addition to live CCTV systems and manned security, ensuring that your container is fully protected and secure at Hayward’s.

To make life easier for our customers, providing a personal service and cutting out IT delays, we do not use a complicated online booking system for our container depot. You can rest assured that your booking will be dealt with personally by our experienced team. For customer convenience, our Knowsley depot is in operation 24 hours a day, 5.5 days a week, and we can offer extra flexibility for weekends when required.
